I’m working with a leading global hedge fund looking to hire an AWS Cloud / Platform Engineer into a high-performing engineering team supporting its front-office technology.
This is a great opportunity for a mid-level engineer who wants to work much closer to the investment business, partnering with quantitative developers and trading teams while building modern cloud-native infrastructure.
The environment is highly automated, engineering-led and gives you the opportunity to take genuine ownership rather than simply maintaining an existing platform.
What you’ll be working on:
• Building and improving cloud-native platform capabilities used across front-office teams
• AWS infrastructure and cloud services
• Kubernetes, Docker and containerised workloads
• CI/CD and deployment automation
• Infrastructure/platform automation and improving developer experience
• Improving reliability, security and cost efficiency
• Working directly with Quant Developers and other engineering teams
• Turning individual trading-team requirements into scalable, reusable solutions
What they’re looking for:
You’ll ideally have 2+ years’ commercial experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE or a strong Software Engineering background with an interest in infrastructure.
